Product Description
AMSOIL 20W-50 Synthetic V-Twin Motorcycle Oil is a premium oil designed for those who demand the absolute best lubrication for their motorcycles. It is the result of extensive research and is specially formulated to excel in all areas unique to motorcycles, including the high temperatures of air-cooled engines such as Harley-Davidson* V-twins, wet-clutch lubrication, extreme-pressure regions of gears and chains and rust common to short trips and storage. AMSOIL Synthetic V-Twin Motorcycle Oil is multi-functional and fulfills the requirements of both domestic and foreign motorcycles.

Reduces Wear and Deposits
AMSOIL Synthetic V-Twin Motorcycle Oil contains a heavy treatment of anti-wear additives to reduce wear regardless of the operating conditions. It is thermally (heat) stable and contains maximum levels of oxidation inhibitor additives. After 250 hours (13,647 miles) on an engine dyno, AMSOIL Synthetic V-Twin Motorcycle Oil eliminated piston scuffing and wear for long engine life and maximum power (see image).

AMSOIL Synthetic V-Twin Motorcycle Oil is formulated with naturally heat-resistant synthetic base oils that resist oxidation in extreme heat. Its unique additive system helps keep engines clean and running efficiently in the toughest riding conditions.

Extreme-Pressure Protection for Gears and Chains
AMSOIL Synthetic V-Twin Motorcycle Oil delivers exceptional protection in transmissions and primary chaincases. It is absolutely shear stable and will not thin out from mechanical activity. AMSOIL 20W-50 V-Twin Motorcycle Oil performs like a gear lube without the negative effects of extreme-pressure additives. In the FZG gear test, AMSOIL achieved a perfect score with a "zero" wear rating.

Delivers Superior Rust Protection
Motorcycles are prone to rust from storage, humidity and short drives. Rust can cause major damage such as roller bearing failure, wear, compression loss and blow-by. Good rust protection, however, comes by design and is not natural to motor oils. Unlike many motorcycle oils, AMSOIL Synthetic Motorcycle Oil contains special antirust agents. It passes the ASTM D1748 humidity cabinet rust test, demonstrating superior rust protection to help your engine achieve maximum performance and long life.

AMSOIL 20W-50 Synthetic V-Twin Motorcycle Oil contains no friction modifiers and promotes smooth shifting and positive clutch engagement. It controls heat and helps prevent slippage and glazing, while its high TBN helps improve clutch life by resisting the acids that can degrade clutch material.

COMPATIBILITY
AMSOIL 20W-50 Synthetic V-Twin Motorcycle Oil is compatible with other synthetic and conventional motor oils. Mixing AMSOIL oils with other oils, however, will shorten the oil’s life expectancy and reduce its performance benefits. AMSOIL does not support extended drain intervals where oils have been mixed.

Aftermarket oil additives are not recommended for use with AMSOIL Synthetic Motorcycle Oils.

SERVICE LIFE
Recommended for use up to twice the motorcycle manufacturer change interval (miles/hours) or one year, whichever comes first, in engines, transmissions and primary chaincases. For Big Twin Harley-Davidson transmissions only, follow the Harley-Davidson recommended drain interval for synthetic oil of up to 20,000 miles or one year, whichever comes first. When using an engine filter other than AMSOIL Ea®, change the filter at standard intervals.

For off-road use, change AMSOIL 20W-50 Synthetic V-Twin Motorcycle Oil at motorcycle manufacturer-recommended intervals.

Racing or modified engines are excluded from extended drain interval recommendations. Oil changes are at the owner's discretion.

"06 Electraglide

When I first took on my 2006 Electraglide ultra classic that had 14,000 miles on it of course had Harley oil in it . The machine was an oil drinking demon that was making the oil producers wealthy . After doing some research and speaking with people I settled on Amsoil 20/50 Vtwin synthetic . Once I did the changeover to Amsoil I was stunned at the results , no more oil consumption , lower engine noise and considerably noticeable heat coming from engine. Amsoil is the winner in my bike!!

Best oil

Big motorcycle engines produce a LOT of heat, and Amsoil oil helps reduce that heat as well as standing up to the heat and provides engine protection in the most adverse conditions.

Proven quality in every thing AMSoil makes

Using it on my 2014 Slim and 2008 X bones since after their first oil change
Actually use AMSoil specific lubes in all three holes
Bikes run cool, quiet and shift like butter. Neutral is always there and I never see metal deposit anywhere
Both bikes have similar milage and just finally got around to opening the primary on them to check chain tension and was blown away that either bike didn't. No explanation for that, sorry. Best part while in there was seeng the nylon shoe on the chain tensioner was barely worn
Hope to get another 40k mi out of them

I operate my 1961 harley Davinsion duo glide also known as a pan head , I use it in the motor and four speed transmission ,having driven it eight thousand miles and only adding three quarts to top it up as the primary and secondary chains are lubricated by the engine oil and then allowed to drip out .I keep an eye on the quality of the oil by checking it with my lubricheck oil tester .

Really great in the tranny

I used amsoil in my 2011 Street glide. This is my first oil change since u got this bike so not sure what was in it when I got it. I used amsoil in engine,primary and tranny. The biggest noticable difference is in the tranny. I can really tell the tranny shifts a lot smoother. Love amsoil!!

Amsoil is a superior product. I used 20w50 it in my motorcycle for years and just sold it with 55,000 miles on it with no repairs. I changed it every 4,000 miles and it was as clean upon draining it as the day I put it in. The engine oil also lubricated my wet clutch with no problems or failures. Great product.

The Best!!!!

I discovered and have been using Amsoil oil over 15 years, this particular oil that I'm reviewing is going in my 2015 Victory Cross Country, and was previously used and my Yamaha Roadliner, also previously used in my Honda Rebel, my Honda Shadow Aero, in my Yamaha VLX.

I run full synthetic in all, I can physically feel a difference in the smoothness of the motor. I can also operate longer between oil changes.

I run AMSOIL in ALL my 4 & 2 wheel vehicles.

Started using Amsoil in the late 70s, Mostly 15/40 diesel marine used it in my cars trucks boat and motorcycles and over 30 years in my honda lawnmower ( still using the mower) also used the gear oil and 100-1 two stroke oil .I think my old husky chainsaw called for 16-1people told me that stuff is to thin or it will leak oil or you will void your warranty!I never needed to use a warranty nothing ever wore out.Any machanics that have serviced my equipment comment that thing is like new inside.I only use other oils when I don't have Amsoil.

Will Continue Use

Swapped this oil into my 2019 Harley Ultra Limited for the 1k service. So far, I feel this oil quiets the engine down and makes it run smoother. I did not run this oil in all three holes since there are mixed reviews on if engine oil should be used in the primary and transmission.

Best choice for Harley's

Many years ago, I read an article in Motorcycle Consumer News (similar to Consumer Reports), a magazine that does not have sponsors and is free to say what they think, that ALL full synthetic motor oil is superior to dino oil in motorcycles, particularly the air cooled ones. I've been using AMSOIL products in my cars, truck and motorcycles for decades and I've never been let down. My Harley Sportster 883 is supposed to run upwards to 240 degrees F in hot weather, especially at interstate speeds. On the hottest days the temperature gauge in my oil tank never goes over 205 degrees and on secondary roads, averages about 195 degrees.
I don't have any other oil to compare this to but on the Harley internet forums, this particular oil is the top choice. I don't plan on switching just so I can compare products. I'm sticking with this oil because , "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".
The Sportster uses this same oil in the separate (dry sump) oil tank for the wet clutch and works perfectly. The Big Twins use a heavier gear oil and AMSOIL is still a top choice on the forums.

First time and I'm impressed!

Use this in a couple Harley's when doing the oil changes. First off there was a noticeable change in engine tone. Engine runs smooth. Also put it in the primary and no problems. An interesting thing found is how clear the oils is still after 3k on one and 5k on the other. The "manufacturer" brand oils seems to get darker well before that. I also want to point out that even after long long rides to and from the oil level hasn't even dropped! No one drop still at full. Been riding around with a extra qt for nothing. Will continue to use from now on. So far very please with this oil. Would recommend.

Best oil I have found

I use this product in 2003 Dyna Lowrider exclusively. Since the switch from the factory synthetic, I have noted less upper valve train noise and smoother and quieter shifts. This oil does everything I need it to do for my bike, and I have switched all of my engines and machinery around the house to Amsoil products as well.

Believe it or not, my Ultra Classic Electra Glide runs cooler with this amazing lubricant in it. It also produced 1 hp and 1 ft lb of torque after switching to Amsoil. Amazing stuff!

I have used this oil on my Harley's for years and never once have I had a engine or bearing failure due to lack of lubrication!

My oil of choice for my motorcycles

I have a 1995 Heritage Softail Classic and always had problems finding neutral when coming to a stop. I added Amsoil 20w-50 full synthetic to the primary and this problem went away. A friend had the same problem with his 2014 Ultra Classic Limited so I suggested this to him and it also took care of his issue.

Long time user in HD motorcycles

I had 2002 HD Ultra Classic with a stage IV upgrade, this bike made great power but didn't care for slow moving hot temperature days. After switching from Harley Davidson's "Synthetic" offering the bike ran a consistent 20 degrees Celsius cooler on any given day and the oil didn't get nearly as black as the HD oil; especially when riding in extreme temperatures

I have a Harley low rider s with the 110ci and I run the v twin oil in my engine, the primary oil in the primary. And the severe gear 75 90 in my tranny. Runs like a dream, only complaint is the tranny fluid is next to impossible to see on the dip stick so it's hard to tell the fluid level when filling. Wish it had a dye in it or something

I've run Amsoil for as long as I have rode Harley's and this is my third one. Not one minutes trouble and I have rode in some of hot weather it was so hot a friends bike shut down and mine never skipped a beat. Now my friend runs Amsoil as well

The Only Oil I Run

Amsoil 20W-50 Synthetic V-Twin Motorcycle Oil is the only oil I have used in my last 2 bikes a 2006 UC and a 2014 RK. Never had any problems and will continue to use this oil as long as pricing remains competitive. Really believe that it is a superior product.

'98 Ultra

i have a '98 Ultra Classic that was getting harder to shift. I changed out the clutch plates with a set of Barnett HP plates. I also changed the primary oil out to the Amsoil 60w synthetic. Wow what a difference. It has never shifted so well even when new. I also changed the engine oil to the same 60w.
Contrary to beliefs, it is not to heavy during the Virginia cold winters.

Smoother shifting in my Indian

I switched to Amsoil's 20w-40 V-Twin formula a couple thousand miles ago in my '17 Indian Springfield, with the Thunderstroke 111ci. Right out of the gate I could feel a positive change in my bike....I could now find neutral easily! Other than that, time will tell. But just from that it shows my the internals are running smoothly. Also, some are scared to run "Full Synthetic" in their bikes, fearing clutch slippage. It's in both my wife's Chief and my Springfield. No slippage! There are no friction modifiers in this, so it's good to go for wet clutches. I will continue to use it.

Harley Davidson motor, transmission & primary oil

I've been using Amsoil since 1993 in my Harley's. This is the only oil that I know that helps cool the motor. Amsoil has never failed me and I will always use this oil, and only this oil my in HD motor, tranny & primary.

Trusted oil

This is the ONLY oil I trust in my bike. I've tried other oils that don't deliver, including all versions of OEM oil. After countless hours in parade mode, AMSOIL quieted the motor & drivetrain better than OEM. I run 10k miles on AMSOIL w/very little noticeable wear on any component, which is evident by less steel debris caught by the oil plug magnets, compared to what I did see running OEM.

Definitely buying again

2016 street glide with tire shredder kit in the motor. Amsoil ran 15 degrees cooler the royal purple. Have a ultra oil cooler with fans and oil filter that's reusable and supposedly lowers temperature by 5 degrees. Save your money and get the oil bud. No fan draw and it's hidden. I put the oil bud on and AMSOIL ran 15 degrees cooler than royal purple.

Best Oil

Best oil I found to use in my Triumph Rocket 3 2012. Cleared up noisy shifting 90% , & doubled oil change interval. So it comes out 1/2 the price of other oils.

I would recommend this product.

I use 20-50 motorcycle oil in my Y2K Heritage engine.
When I changed from petroleum based engine oil to Amsoil I had to slow down the idle speed.
I believe Amsoil does a superior job lubricating the engine.
I ride year round in temps from 32 degrees F to 102 degrees F.
I don't believe engine oil should be used in primary chain case or transmission. Engines, transmissions, and primary chain case all have different lubrication requirements. Select the right lubrication for the application.

I regularly run AMSOIL 20w50 and sae60 in my Harley's. I also run an oil pressure gauge as well as an oil temperature gauge and AMSOIL is the most consistent I've ive come across.

Best in the industry

I've ran this oil in 2 identically set up Harley Davidson Twin Cam engines. First one Amsoil was added after my factory warranty was up at 40,000 miles. By the time it had 75,000 on it,it was using a quart every 2500 miles. The other engine has had Amsoil 20w 50 in it since new. It currently has 128,000 miles on it and is now using 1 quart every 5,000 miles,plus the heads have never been removed! I truly believe that it is superior to everything on the market.

I remember the days of sending samples in to determine when to change your oil. As a young man I did not understand why. That was in the 80's. I first tried Amsoil in my 07 Pathfinder with 200k+ miles and it reduced engine vibration while improving my fuel mileage up to 20% on the highway. Many products claim to improve mileage but Amsoil truly does. I now use Amsoil in both of my autos and both Harley's

My favourite synthetic motor oil

I have used Amsoil in my last two bikes. I always found the oil to meet or exceed my expectations consistently. I travel lots, putting on 20 to 25,000 Kms per year which is a few considering our short season. I usually run one trip to the Southern US so the temps can be hot. I never had an issue until last year. In 2017, I traveled through Nevada, parts of California and Northern Arizona in the first two weeks of June. Temps reached 45C, or about 115 F. I had installed a new motor in 2015. I was advised to use a different synthetic oil, which worked fine in cooler temps. On this trip the other oil broke down completely. My oil pressure fell and the motor became noisy. I changed to Amsoil 20-50 and had no more issues. From here on, it will be Amsoil for me. It stands up much better to extreme conditions.

Great motorcycle oil

I just traded in my 2000 FLHTCUI with 108, 000 miles showing on the odometer. I only traded it because we are going on a trip into Canada and I have had mainly electrical problems and suspension problems in the past. It is getting too hard to find parts for her so we made the decision to find her a new home. The motor was still rock solid along with the tranny and primary but we were concerned mainly with stator and fuel injection. It had the old Magnetti Marelli injection system that was only used 99 thru 01. Amsoil 20w50 V-Twin oil kept the motor, tranny and primary chugging right along!!!!

Been buying Amsoil products for almost 10 years now. I've used it for three different bikes and have always gotten outstanding life out of their oil. Kawasaki, Yamaha, Harley Davidson. Any time I've taken them to professional mechanics for major work I can't complete on my own, they always compliment the condition of the engine because it's still running smooth.

Makes my Harley run cooler and quieter.

I have used this in any of my Harleys over the last 8 years. The bike seems to run quieter and generates less heat. Don't use it during the break-in period, or the rings will never seat properly. Use Harley's oil (360) for the first 5000 miles, then switch over.

20/50 V-Twin Motor Oil

I've used AMSOIL for seven years now. Sine using it I've never had any issues with any of my Harley's.
On a cross-country trip in 2015, at the end of a long hot ride in New Mexico, I noticed the temperature on my bike was 120 degrees while others with temperature dip sticks was running at 140 degrees.
Less heat, less wear.

Last year I used Yamaha lube in my royal star motorcycle first time not using Amsoil. Was not happy with the Yamaha product, the clutch on tbe bike was slipping thought about replacing it. This year I put Amsoil back in and no clutch problems. I have complete trust in Amsoil for engine longevity.

I have used this product in my engine , transmission and primary I've used it from I bought the bike brand new until I sold it at 86,000 miles never had a problem not from day one . Engine ran quiet smooth and cool great performance I would recommend this product to anyone .

I am a firm believer in Amsoil

I will only use 20/50 Amsoil in my Harley. The engine is air cooled and depends on the oil to not break down under extreme heat conditions. I also run it in the primary case to lube that area.

I use Amsoil exclusively in my Indian Chieftain and wouldn't use any other oil product. Period. Hot weather, cold weather and everything in between I know my engine is being protected and kept clean.

I first tried this oil in a '16 cvo street glide stage 4 . It really help quite the lifters and run cooler.what really impressed me was the Amsoil test where they ran a sportster 1200 to 600 degrees f. Until it melted the oil drain pan. Oil test proved no metal or oil breakdown and that was enough for me.

Although the manufacturer recommends synthetic blend oil for my bike, I swear by Amsoil. My engine and transmission run off the same fluids so I want no malfunctions. Amsoil keeps things running smoothly with no slippage what so ever!!

this product went into my 2010 harley wide glide, I change oil in it once a year and I am not shy to ride it hard, every time I drop the plug the oil is clean as can be, check filters and has no wear particle that can be seen, amsoil arrests wear regardless of application. will never use any other brand other than amsoil

I was a little hesitant before I started using Amsoil products on my Harley . Cost was the main reason until I started researching the oils . Once I finally started using the oils on my bike , I realized what I was missing out on !!! The most important benefit was how much cooler the bike was running . Right then I knew there was better lubrication than I had before . My bike starts easier and runs alot smoother . Now I only use Amsoil on all of my other mechanical equipment . ( Vehicles , compressor , Generac , lawnmowers , Lawn equipment ) Only the Best !!!!!!

A must for your Vtwin

If you have a Harley this oil is a must. It removes all valve train noise, reduces engine temps and Amsoil's the only oil manufacture to torture test the hell out of your bike to prove it still protects under the harvest conditions. Stop being cheap and spend the dough to make you bike last the longest.

The 20 W 50 I have been using in my Harleys for several years. My engines run cooler. They stay clean internally. Absolutely no sludge buildup even in severe cold weather riding. My trucks run 5 W 20, same thing there. Even my lawn mower has 20 W 40 in it and it runs cooler and stronger. Personally I love Amsoil.

I have been using this oil in my motor for about 7 years. I think it's the best oil for my motor.

Like the oil

I use the synthetic oil in the crankcase and primary in bot of my late model Harleys. It seems to run cooler than the other oils I have used.

this oil is great stuff, I use it in my vintage bikes, a 68 BSA and a 70 triumph Bonneville. It works good in these bikes.

Best oil for Harley so far.

Have used many synthetic oils. Amsoil is top notch. Far quieter than other oils as far as engine noise.
Amsoil Tranny fluid outshines the competition with smoother shifting and ease of finding neutral. If you ride a Harley, you know what I'm talking about.

Best oil I've ever used.

This oil makes the bike run smoother and quieter. I like that I can use it in the Engine, Trans, and the Primary. I use Amsoil in all my vehicles. Nice to change oil and filter once a season and still get great protection.

Fantastic product

All my motorcycles run this product. One bike has 80,000 Kms on it and it is still an untouched strong machine. They all run cooler due to less friction. The trans shifts so smooth with the synthetic oil.

Superior to the dealers

I have a motorcycle repair shop and I am switching to Amsoil. Superior product and better priced. I won't use anything else in my Harley-Davidson. Another advantage is I can deal directly with Amsoil, can't do that with other manufacturers. Overall a fantastic product and company! Order online and it comes to your door.

I won't use any other brand

I use Amsoil V Twin 20/50 and the Amsoil Signiture Series in my cars. The motorcycle oil has saved my engine on a trip from Tennessee back home to Pennsylvania. Engine temps and oil temp was well over 350 degrees. Normal engine oil operating temp is 150/180 degrees. When the problem was discovered and repaired, I found the engine to be in good condition. I believe it's only because of Amsoil that my engine survived.

There is much less engine noise and transmission "clunck" than there is with the others.
Engine seems to run cooler also.

Highly recommended!

Been back and forth trying multiple products... i.e. Royal Purple, Mobil One...etc. Amsoil slams them all. All wear graphs are different, but Amsoil is always at the top, regardless of where the others place. Go twice as far without changes or worries... its a no-brainer.

I continue to buy this product

I like the 20w-50 V Twin Motorcycle oil very much. Although I do not ride a 'V-Twin' I do ride a BMW that is air cooled and find that it runs much cooler and smoother than the oil that came with it from the dealer. Presently the bike has about 90k miles on it and still runs great. I will continue to use this oil and the corresponding fluids for the transmission and rear drive.

I use this oil in my 1999 BMW K1200RS water cooled engine. If it is tough enough for a Harley air cooled V-Twin it's got to be bullet proof in a water cooled engine.

Changed all the fluids on a H-D Ultra classic, Crank case, transmission, and Primary, ran the bike through the Arizona and Nevada deserts this August in the heat wave of the summer. Bike ran great and the transmission now shifts easier and quieter

This oil far surpasses my expectations, my Harley has the engine management system; when it hits a certain temperature, the rear cylinder shuts off in stop and go traffic, with this oil, even here in Arizona with the extreme heat, the rear cylinder has not shut off since I started using Amsoil.

i was told by a sales rep. in sturgis s.d. that AMSOIL would reduce 20per.cent of the heat i was getting from my harley v-twin. After useing AMSOIL my last 4 oil changes i just don't beleave that.Searching for an oil that will help me reduce engine heat.

I started using Amsoil 20/50 Motorcycle Oil along with Severe Gear 75-140 Gear Oil for the transmission,when I had the 1000 mile break in service on my 09' Harley FLHRC. Now the bike is still running like a clock at 102758 miles on her. I recommend this product to everyone I know.

I use Amsoil in all of my cars and motorcycles. I own a 2009 Ford Fusion with 80,000 miles on it. I have a 2005 Nissan Maxima with 75,000 miles on it. I have a 2000 Nissan Frontier with 88,000 miles on it. Amsoil is used in all three and I know without any doubt my three 4 wheeled vehicles will last many more thousand miles. I own a 2009 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic with 73,000 miles and a 2009 Street Glide with 55,000 miles. And just like my cars and truck I know with Amsoil they have many more miles left to go. This is the best motor oil you can buy for your motorcycle. I use it in my Harley Ultra Classic, Honda Goldwing, and BMW F800GSA. Never a oiling problem, even in heavy traffic/stop and go on the Harley.

I've tried 2-3 different synthetics as well as heavy duty diesel oil in my 2011 FLHTK Electra Glide. This product makes my scoot run much cooler (rear cylinder get so hot I'd glance down to see if my pants were on fire- not any more). When you add in the fact of extended service periods, that, my friend, is value.

I'm very impressed with this product

I'm impressed how amsoil has increased my fuel mileage in my Harley. It not only increased mileage but also has reduced engine temperature by more than 20 degrees. I have a oil temp gauge on my bike and for years I used other well known synthetic oils. No other oils reduced the temperature which will result in performance and fuel economy.

noises started, am in the process of repairs. So far the front exhaust lifter is trash and it took out the

This is the only oil for your engines...

I use this oil in my Harley Davidson. First time I used it in my 2013 Street Glide FLHX 103ci motor just got it back from putting a stage 4 Racing Kit in it and put almost 46.000 miles on it in 3 years and used the 60 weight full synthetic in the motor transmission and primary and changed it every 5000 miles witch didn't take long. It tuned on the dyno at 112 HP and 121 pounds of torque. After spending all that money on the engine I won't it a oil to keep it new inside with no ware on the parts and that's what I got from AMSOIL. Now I own a 2017 Street Glide 107ci and had some work done on that motor also and it is a BAD. It pulls the wheal 1st 2nd and 3rd gear and don't Know when to stop running. After the break in oil was ready to be changed I also had the motor work done on it also and had them to put the best in it. So Y not use the best oil so I had them put 20w 50 in all of Motor Transmission and Primary. Now I just turned it over to 4000 miles on the engine now after are last trip and I don't baby it I run it on the Interstate 80 85 90 depends on how the traffic is flowing and I will fall in and roll with it with no worries about my engine because I know its being protected and staying cooler and no ware and tare. Also the shifting is quitter and smoother and the Transmission like the Engine smooth and no ware and tare. Now I'm fixing to order me some AMSOIL because it is getting close to my oil change and don't forget about there Oil Filter It does the Job that no other filter can and that is all the bad stuff don't get through keep that oil Pure.

Best Oil For My Harley Davidson

I have been an Amsoil Preferred Customer for many years ,I use Amsoil for all of my vehicles and equipment. I have never had a single oil related failure, or any failure for that matter. I just did my first oil change on my 2017 Street Glide and noticed a difference right away in the running and smoothness of the engine. My only wish is that Amsoil will put together a "Kit" for the 2017 Harley Davidson Milwaukee 8 owners. We use 4.5 quarts of crankcase oil instead of 4 quarts. Help us oil Amsoil !

Coolest oil!

This oil has the best resistance for heat and distance. Runs my motor at least 10 degrees cooler than any other. Motor runs quiet, shifts smooth, oil does not break down under pressure.
If you have any questions about its performance hears my answer:
I have a 2001 Road King with over 200,000 miles.
I rebuilt the top end at 124,000 miles.
So the bottom end and the gear box are all original (200,000).
I ride it everyday. I don't baby it.
Oil change every 4,000 miles (Tranny every 8,000).
ANY OTHER QUESTIONS?

I made the switch from the H-D oil to Amsoil and immediately noticed an improvement in overall performance and will never switch back to H-D oil! My Honda Civic with 160,000+ miles was really dragging to get going, but after switching my car to Amsoil it accelerates like new again. I ride my Dyna hard. I recently switched to Amsoil. My bike runs cooler and the valvetrain is quieter than with the former dealer brand. The only thing I wish is that the v twin oil change kit had the choice of black oil filter.

No knocking in the hot Florida summer

I use this in all of my motorcycles. When I purchased my Streetglide in 2015, the dealership performed an oil change. When the summer came and I got stuck in traffic, the bike started knocking bad when accelerating. That week I switched to what I use in my other bike and have not had that issue since.

Year round protection

This is my 4th Harley and I only use Amsoil This oil never loses viscosity in any temp.
we have all kinds of weather here in Texas, temps. from 0 to 110 -- so if you ride alot like I do
this oil covers all kinds of weather.

Works like a charm in my R1200RT

I bought a used 2007 R1200RT about 2 years ago and began using the 20W-50 synthetic. In Edmonton, Alberta, Canada we get big temperature differences if you start riding once the snow's gone and keep going until it arrives in the Fall. I also trailer it down to Phoenix to ride. Great product!

Doesn't burn oil anymore

Was using the OEM Synthetic and burned up a quart between oil changes switched to AMSOIL and no more loss of oil between changes.

Best oil for Harleys

I maintain 2 Harleys and this is the ONLY oil I would ever consider using. It really prevents overheating in hot weather.

This is my first purchase with amsoil. I am using this in my 2006 Harley Davidson Street Glide. I have put about a 1000 miles on the first oil change and the engine seems to run cooler as promised. I'll know more about performance after my next oil change. Friends swear by amsoil who gear heads like me. I'm sure I'll be pleased. The prices for preferred customers are worth the initial fee. I plan on switching my diesel truck to amsoil 25,000 oil change once I use up my current brand.

New 2016 H-D ultra limited V-Twin oils and Lubes

bought a new 2016 Harley Davidson ultra limited and after breaking in the engine and trans I switched to Amsoil lubes through out the whole bike. Engine, trans and primary case. I have used Amsoil interceptor in my snowmobiles for years and several thousand miles and have had no engine failures so I have good reason to expect the same excellent results in my new bike.

Peace of mind

I used Amsoil 20W50 V-Twin motorcycle oil for over 80,000 miles in my 2005 Harley and it was still running strong at 120,000 when I traded up to a 2016 Harley. I specified Amsoil at the 500 mile service and have rolled up 13,000 trouble free miles already. Looking forward to another 100,000.

Excellent Product.

After breakin on my new rebuild stroker evo, I added this 20W-50 synthetic V-twin oil. Then set out for 5,380 mile road trip, 2 up in mostly 90-100+ F heat. Total oil added was less than 2 oz! No heating issues! Very impressed with this product.

You Just Can't Beat Quality

I use AMSOIL products in the Engine, Transmission and Primary case of all the Harley-Davidson motorcycles I've owned since I started riding after a 40 year hiatus in 2012.

I have also used AMSOIL in all of my air cooled Volkswagen powered vehicles for decades. You can't beat it's quality. The fact AMSOIL sells application specific lubricants that really ARE superior to "universal" lubricants is a HUGE plus too.

The only V-twin oil I use.

This is the only oil I have ever used in my Harleys and I plan to keep it that way. I've had zero issues with my bikes and they my oil temps never get out of control no matter how hot it gets in the summer.

I may look at other brands because of price increases.

I use this in my 2004 ultra classic it seem to work real well in the hot weather. The only thing I've been disappointed in was the last price increase i may have to look at other options.

Amsoil is the best. I could care less what anyone says. I am 50 & have tried plenty of oils & none can compare to Amsoil. My Harley runs cooler. Believe me, I live in Tucson Arizona. I am the crazy one riding around in 102 degrees. And you can tell if your scooter is running cooler. My legs are my thermometer. Amsoil works.

8yrs of Arizona punishment

Pro Atv Desert racer been running 20-50 now for the last 8yrs changing the oil after 2 races which average a couple hundred miles each and a few hrs of brutal punishment and harsh Arizona desert summer temps I replace the cylinder and piston at the end of Every season after over a 1000 miles and over a hundred total hrs in a season the piston and cylinder look as if they did when I installed them, the last 8yrs I have not had any engine failures of any sort and it's because of AMSOIL synthetics. I've seen so many guys I race with blow there engines time and time again during the season and they continue using their own preferences of oils and still have issues. I have so much confidence in AMSOIL when going racing that engine failures don't even cross my mind.........thank you AMSOIL for your continued sponsorship support and your hard work put in by your R&D department.......It's paying off....."!!!!!

Swear by this oil!

Have been running this oil for years in all my Harleys. Runs quieter and cooler than the HD Syn3. Have not had a single leak or burning issue in over 60K miles. Bought a 2016 CVO, and am running in it as well. Highly recommend this oil!

This isn't just for V-Twins

I used this in my BMW motorcycle and have to say, it is a very good oil from what I can tell. 4K miles since the oil change and it still shifts smoothly. That has never happened before I used 20W-50. Overall, the bike runs very well on this stuff. Will be buying it again

Big Difference

I have changed the Harley over and been riding it and what a big difference so far. The bike is quieter and my gas mileage has gone up a little. I will be changing the pickup over next week. Very happy so far.

20W50 motorcycle oil

The temp dipstick indicated a 20 to 30 degree drop in temperature as soon as the first oil change was made. In any air cooled cycle engine high temps are a concern, so AMSOIL 20W-50 is definitely the best product I have found for our Tri-Glide!

2012 Harley FLHRS road king classic runs cooler

With HD synthetic oil, engine gets really hot in stop and go traffic. As the heat increases engine gets louder also. I am now running Amsoil 20w50 motorcycle oil because friends recommended it.

This oil changed the way engine behaves (cold or hot). The bike idled so much more quieter immediately after installing Amsoil! There's no more overheating issues. Engine is quiet and smooth even in stop and go traffic during hot days.

I am running this oil in all the three holes as recommended by Amsoil. Gears are shifting great. I wish that I got this oil when the bike was new, which would have saved lots of engine wear. All my toys will get Amsoil!
