Product Description
It is difficult to drain all of the fuel from equipment before storage, and doing so would expose the system to other problems, including the formation of rust and corrosion on the bare metal in the tank and fuel system and the drying and cracking of gaskets and seals. Some fuels are pre-treated with oxidation inhibitors that allow them to be stored for short periods without forming excessive deposits, while other fuels have no inhibitors at all.

AMSOIL Gasoline Stabilizer (AST) reduces the oxidation process that occurs when fuel is stored for extended periods, improving performance, extending equipment life and decreasing maintenance expenses.

Two- and four-stroke recreational vehicles, hand-held power equipment, small engines, construction and farm equipment are commonly operated seasonally or infrequently, then stored for long periods of time. During these periods of inactivity, and as a result of fluctuations in ambient temperatures, water vapor can form condensate within the engine. When this condensate comes into direct contact with steel and iron components, it forms surface corrosion on cylinder liners, piston rings, anti-friction bearings and steel/iron contact surfaces on rotational seals. Long periods of storage can also dry out cylinders, often resulting in permanent damage when the equipment is taken out of storage and dry started. In addition, fuel within stored equipment tends to oxidize and form varnish and sludge deposits that clog injectors, fuel lines and carburetors, stick floats and cause poor engine performance, starting problems, increased maintenance expenses and decreased equipment life.

Great product, terrible bottle.

I use Gasoline Stabilizor in alll my 4-stroke lawn equipment. The product seems to work well as I have yet to have a fuel related problem since first using a year and a half ago. Gave it 4 stars simply because the bottle design makes it impossible to pour small quantities without spilling or having the stabilizer run down the side of the bottle. The bottle shape is great for pouring into a car fuel tank but I see the primary use of this product in small, 5 gallon or less applications. Which Amsoil would offer a different bottle design. A great start would be something similar to the Sta-bil bottle; where you can meassure and pour small amounts directly from the bottle.

No fuel issues

I store 30 gallons of fuel for my generator. I rotate 10 gallons every 30 days, so my oldest fuel is 90 days old. I have not done a placebo test with out stabilizer, but the gasoline treated with Amsoil stabilizer works flawlessly.

I use this product in every small engine, tool as well as my plow truck, 4-wheeler, and side-by-side and boats. It far exceeds any other stabilizer I have used, and I think I have tried them all. This product is so good - every piece of equipment I own starts at the beginning of every season, just like I ran it the day before!

I followed the directions on the bottle, and it made the MPG go up about 3 !! From about 11.5 to about 14ish! I was amazed. This stuff really worked for my hot rod Hemi !!

Big Help after Prolonged Idle Times!

Great Product to use for any time length in out of operation power equipment. I use it in all of my lawn mowers, snow blowers, yard tractor and motorcycles. With the amount of changing fuel mixes and alcohol in gasoline here it helps to keep the fuel in a steady mix without the separation common here after short times. Almost always, my power equipment, will start with one, two, or three pulls, even after sitting idle for 3-5 months. The equipment will run normally. I will usually add some into my gas cans with each fill.

A must for living in a remote location...

I trust Amsoil products, after using them for so many years. Our gasoline gets delivered by barge and then trucked to us. It's always got visible crud in it and I have to put it through a filter first. As soon as I get my gasoline, I filter it and add Amsoil Gasoline Stabilizer. While others in the area have had numerous problems with 'bad gas,' my gasoline has never let me down. It gets used in my Stihl saws, Echo yard equipment, my Polaris Ranger, my portable Honda generator, my Ariens wood splitter, etc. Never a problem.

Winter storage of my 2014 BMW motorcycle

Living in Washington State, I don't ride my 2014 BMW R1200RT-LC year round so I leave it in the garage hooked up to a Battery Tender, and the gas tank filled with Pure Gas AND 3 oz. of Amsoil's Gasoline Stabilizer. Every summer when I start up my bike there is little hesitation, and the engine settles down to a steady idle. Riding that first tank shows no problems or misses in any RPM range, though I don't get the full mileage of 300 miles, but with the very next tank of gas things are back to normal.

While others in the area have had numerous problems with 'bad gas,' my gasoline has never let me down. It gets used in my Stihl saws, Echo yard equipment, my Polaris Ranger, my portable Honda generator, my Ariens wood splitter, etc. Never a problem.

HIGH QUALITY FUEL SYSTEM AND COMBUSTION CHAMBER CLEANER

I recommend AMSOIL p.I. cleaner to anyone to clean the engine combustion chamber and fuel injectors or carburetor of a gasoline engine. I've used this exact product on a recommended vehicle maintenance schedule for many years. There is a very noticeable difference to prevent engine from knocking by cleaning the carbon from the combustion chamber. I use this in a Ford truck, Pontiac car and a Kawasaki motorcycle. Highly recommended above any product of its kind is AMSOIL p.I.

I do buy this product over and over again

Before I started using this product (P.I.) my 2006 Toyota Tacome was getting about 19 - 20 MPG. When I use this product it moves easily to 20-22 MPH. It must be doing something good. However, I must admit to using exclusively Amsoil Signature oil.
